Privacy Policy
How HanReader handles device-local reading data, online assistance, account information, purchases, and deletion.
Our privacy approach
HanReader is provided by Qingdao Weerocks Data Info. Tech. LLC. Your documents, images, OCR results, library entries, vocabulary, notes, bookmarks, searches, reading position, and preferences remain on the device where you use them. HanReader does not upload or synchronize your document library or file list through its servers.
Online assistance
When you explicitly request translation, contextual explanation, or neural narration, HanReader sends only the selected text and the bounded context needed to complete that request to HanReader Server. The server may use contracted AI and speech processors solely to produce the requested result. HanReader does not retain document content or query history after transient processing, except short-lived operational data required to deliver and protect the service.
Account and commerce
Sign in with Apple supplies a stable account identifier and, when Apple provides them, your name or relay email. HanReader and its commerce service AppBoss retain account, subscription entitlement, purchase, reading-credit balance, reward, and transaction records to provide paid features, prevent abuse, restore purchases, and meet legal accounting obligations. Apple processes payments under its own privacy policy.
Operations, processors, and security
We may process limited diagnostics such as request time, service outcome, app version, device platform, and pseudonymous account identifiers for reliability, security, fraud prevention, and support. Active service providers process data under contract and only for these purposes. Data may be processed where those providers operate, with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Device-local reading data remains until you delete it, remove the app, or erase the device backup that contains it. Account data remains while your account is active. Deleting your HanReader account revokes server access and removes or pseudonymizes account data, while transaction records may be retained when law requires. Because documents are not uploaded, account deletion does not erase local files; remove them in the app or from the device.
Your choices and contact
You can decline online assistance and continue local reading. You can manage Apple permissions, subscriptions, and purchases through Apple; delete your account in HanReader Settings; and contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available in your region.
